These facilitated tours provide students with an overview of the museum, its fascinating history and a selection of current exhibitions. Our aim is to empower students, giving them a positive museum experience so that they become lifelong enthusiasts and supporters of the arts.
Tours can be taken independently or as Create Art Tour and Workshop programs.
All programs are tailored to suit different year levels.
Heide, past and present
Focusing on the history of Heide, this site tour introduces students to the Reeds and their legacy, exploring the art, architecture and gardens of Heide, including artworks in the galleries and Sculpture Park.
45-60 minute facilitated tour, $8 per student.

EXHIBITION IN FOCUS
Designed to complement current exhibitions, this program encourages students to engage with artworks through in-depth analysis of a specific exhibition, theme or artist. Students will consider and discuss the formal qualities of artworks, their cultural and social contexts, possible interpretations and meanings. You will be asked to select an exhibition or theme on the booking form. Programs are tailored to suit different year levels.
45-60 minute facilitated tour, $8 per student.

FOCUS ON SCULPTURE?
In this program, students view a range of sculptural works, investigating shape, form, texture and scale and consider the diverse materials and techniques artists utilise. The tour focuses on artworks in Heide's sculpture park and includes any relevant current exhibitions.
